Help! I Wrecked My House Season 4, Episode 8: Beachy

Project Overview:

THE HOMEOWNER:

Christy and Ronan

THE BUDGET:

$150K

THE STORY:

Christy and Ronan bought this house two years ago in their dream neighborhood. They wanted their own place with a yard, so they ended up purchasing this fixer upper—but they didn’t really like anything about the house! With Ronan’s family living in Europe, they needed space for guests to stay when visiting and their two young boys to play. The family didn’t like their kitchen, and they were having a hard time nailing down their design style while having to consider more important renovation decisions along the way.

THE PLAN:

Christy and Ronan soon realized a lot of projects around the house were much harder than they looked. Nothing was getting accomplished between the two of them, they needed a professional! I had nine weeks to complete this project before their boys started school again and I needed to prioritize as much as possible. They felt like they settled on this house, and I wanted them to LOVE it. I went with a California casual, natural, bright color palette to make this house a home.

  • Love it all! You are so gracious and sincere. I love the flooring. I wish you could post manufacturers and name of products. I have gotten so many samples but none to say yes too. This one in the Beachy house looks perfect. Love the knots and the homogenous coloring.
