Big News! I'm the Guest Editor for the October Issue of HGTV Magazine
September 14 2022I have some exciting news to share - I’m the Guest Editor for the October issue of HGTV Magazine. You all already know that I’m very into my design magazines and I have stacks of them tucked away in so many corners of my house. It was a dream come true to actually be a part of creating something I love so dearly. Long live print!
There’s also something really special about this issue of HGTV Magazine. On October 1st, we’re airing an HGTV special where I’m unveiling our new little family cabin that I renovated from top to bottom for the cover story. It’s filled with one-of-a-kind inspiration for the cozy seasons. As we head deeper into fall, and ultimately winter, I feel like it’s my personal mission to help everyone usher in the seasons with as many warm and fuzzy places and spaces as I can. And I’m here to tell you that the October issue of HGTV Magazine will definitely get you started.
Here’s a sneak peek of the cover with the whole Roth family. We’re super excited to make some memories at ‘Hazel’s Cozy Cabin’.
On a special episode of 'Help! Wrecked my House' all about Hazel’s Cozy Cabin (yep - that’s the name!) on Saturday, October 1st I’m sharing my whole experience of editing this magazine AND renovating a cabin all at the same time. And it’s a great way to welcome in fall in style. Be sure to tune in to see how we made this cabin our own.
I don’t want to give too much away. so you’ll just have to grab your copy when it hits the stands on Tuesday, September 20th. I hope you love it as much as I loved creating it. And most of all, I hope it gives you some ideas on how to build your happy this fall.
Jasmine, I just love your all of your shows, but this one of Hazel’s Cozy Cabin is the cutest as Hazel named the cabin. Your work is beautiful and to sew your husband demoing and helping was awesome! Congratulations on the Guest Editor of HGTV and can’t wait for my magazine to arrive, it should of been here by now but not sure where it is. Enjoy y’alls new cabin in the mountains and begin making memories in it!

I absolutely love your design style. Needless to say I’m obsessed and I wish I was a badass like Jasmine. 7 years ago my dads got sick and we had to move him closer into town and his log cabin has just been sitting empty. I wish I lived closer to it (Fl to WV) and had the funds to do some updates. Would love to air bnb it to help the family financially. Hate to see it go to waste. Hazel’s cozy cabin turned out beautifully and love the camp vibe. The stone and kitchen are so dreamy!!! Fan for life

I’m a fan!! congrats on the guest editor gig!
I’ll definitely pick up a magazine that shows your cabin.
Do you have any ideas on a Catio? I trap and release kitties to prevent overpopulation. When I release them they still stay! They know who loves them!
Congratulations on being you and your ideas, and your expertise!!

I’m so sorry I hit the enter button by mistake. I like your style because it’s not so girlie, I’m on my third house second one from the ground up. I started my first job in construction in 1980 doing demo/gopher work for a company called the Pink Ladies in the valley in California, I loved it so much but during that time there wasn’t much work for a girl crew. Plus, I lived in Hermosa Beach and the drive was more than 40-60 miles one way, then the first gas crunch happened had too quick. So, I was able to start my own company called B. EDDY Consultants and got a few jobs with a deigned firm. So, I learn to do drop ceilings and some framing, and then some interior work, but there nothing like demo work. I then became a mother had to stop.
If I could only start again. Good LUCK in everything you do and moreAnyway, long story short, thanks for doing what you do, and you do it well. I enjoy watching.
